About the Datachain initiative

Datachain announced a project to build a global payment solutions infrastructure on 5 September 2024!
Since its inception in 2018, Datachain has been continuing R&D on technology and business opportunities with the aim of creating a De-Facto infrastructure’ as a Global x Deep Tech company from Japan.

We aim to become a Decacorn (a start-up with an enterprise value of more than USD 10 billion), and we are often told that we need to win in Global x Deep Tech to realize this goal.

As a major first step, the announced project will start, but we have a limited amount of time to get off to a flying start with a big advantage in this area, where the world's top companies will be our competitors. 

As the first penguin, we are currently rapidly expanding our recruitment in order to create a De-Facto infrastructure’ as a Global x Deep Tech company from Japan.

Why Datachain can achieve this

• We will develop an international remittance infrastructure using stable coins in collaboration with a communication network for financial transactions linking more than 11,000 institutions in more than 200 countries and regions worldwide, which are also used by major Japanese banks for overseas remittances.
• In June 2023, Japan will be the first developed country to enact legislation on blockchain stablecoins, so that Japan leads the world in this area.
• The technology Datachain has been researching and developing - blockchain-to-blockchain transmission technology - is leading the world.

Attractiveness of the position

SRE needs to launch a new system to promote a new major business, and requires an environment to create an ideal system and high technical skills to create an application that will become the world's infrastructure.

In terms of implementation, in addition to the usual web application infrastructure knowledge, there is the interesting aspect of development that involves blockchain-specific node management, etc!

Requirements

• Experience in designing and building systems based on cloud architecture best practices
• Experience in CI/CD, observability, performance improvement to ensure continuous development and stable system operation
• Experience in making technical decisions that ensure flexibility and operational readiness, including mid- to long-term system changes
• Experience with statically typed languages (Go, C/C++, Java, Rust, Scala, etc.) and implementation that captures the characteristics of each language
• Ability to isolate the cause of unknown system problems.
• Willingness to build systems with high security requirements
• Interest in blockchain technology and a spirit of continuous exploration

Preferred Experiences

• Experience as an SRE in an environment with high security requirements, such as a financial institution or FinTech company
• Experience in distributed systems
• Experience with implementation based on English literature
• Experience in driving technical public relations/recruitment activities in the engineering domain
• Experience in operating large-scale applications and large-scale traffic services
• Experience in OSS publishing and contribution
• Experience in blockchain related development
