About the Datachain initiative

Datachain announced a project to build a global payment solutions infrastructure on 5 September 2024!
Since its inception in 2018, Datachain has been continuing R&D on technology and business opportunities with the aim of creating a ‘De-Facto infrastructure’ as a Global x Deep Tech company from Japan.

We aim to become a Decacorn (a start-up with an enterprise value of more than USD 10 billion), and we are often told that we need to win in Global x Deep Tech to realize this goal.

As a major first step, the announced project will start, but we have a limited amount of time to get off to a flying start with a big advantage in this area, where the world's top companies will be our competitors. 

As the first penguin, we are currently rapidly expanding our recruitment in order to create a ‘De-Facto infrastructure’ as a Global x Deep Tech company from Japan.

Why Datachain can achieve this

• We will develop an international remittance infrastructure using stable coins in collaboration with a communication network for financial transactions linking more than 11,000 institutions in more than 200 countries and regions worldwide, which are also used by major Japanese banks for overseas remittances.
• In June 2023, Japan will be the first developed country to enact legislation on blockchain stablecoins, so that Japan leads the world in this area.
• The technology Datachain has been researching and developing - blockchain-to-blockchain transmission technology - is leading the world.

The Engineering Manager needs to set up a new team to drive a new and bigger business and this role is needed.

We need someone who has the ability to retain the existing good engineering values and create a new structure to successfully run a growing organization. With the goal of creating an exciting development organization, we are looking for colleagues to create a development process that enables people to create value, grow and enjoy working.

Engineering managers deliver results through their organization.
We aim to get the best out of our engineers in the field and create an organization with a medium- to long-term perspective.Datachain's engineers are very senior, so we do not give direct advice on technology.
We organize the challenges and technical issues that arise within the organizational structure and development process and drive them towards a solution.

Engineering managers do not implement, but need to understand the significance of the technology. We talk about the advantages/disadvantages, trends and fun of technology in recruitment, speaking engagements and career advice, and we make it fun for engineers to demonstrate their abilities.

Requirements

• Experience in engineering management of new team launches and major organizational changes
• Experience in implementing development and improvement processes to create a better development environment
• Knowledge of systematic agile development, coaching and management to solve organizational issues
• Experience in balancing what needs to be done and what people want to do to achieve results.

Preferred Experiences

• Experience in promoting engineering technology and recruiting activities
• Experience and knowledge of blockchain related development
• Experience in English communication and management
• Experience in Go, Java, C/C++, Rust, Scala, etc.
• Experience in deep domain development and development with strong performance requirements
