About AtHearth
AtHearth is a small startup that runs a unique service to help foreigners find apartments in Japan. Their service tackles a real problem faced by many foreigners here so we're rooting for their success. They typically require N2-level Japanese skills for engineers, but most of their members speak English well.
Discrimination of foreign residents during housing rental agreements is common in Japan, but AtHearth aims to remove this discrimination and create a society where foreign residents can live wherever they want without hassle. They also offer general assistance for their clients in getting used to their life in Japan, helping out with the various challenges of getting settled in Japan.
In addition, AtHearth runs a community that holds regular events to help foster friendship between foreign and Japanese residents in Japan. We really believe in this company's vision and feel that it's a great option for those that want to contribute to making Japan more livable for foreigners.
They're not quite as established as some of the other companies on Japan Dev, but we think this company has a lot of potential to improve the lives of foreigners in Japan. So if you're looking for a position where you can use Japanese and contribute to a growing startup with a positive mission, you may want to check this company out.
