Future Standard

Japanese is the official language in Future Standard.

Language requirements depend somewhat on position, but we don’t require Japanese skills for engineers.

Our entire leadership team and some other members are able to speak English.

However, certain meetings (such as company all-hands meetings) are held in Japanese, so Japanese skills are definitely useful to have.

Currently, we can only accept applicants with valid work visas for Japan.

Depending on the candidate, a separate skills check (technical test) process may be included in the process.

For engineers, we allow remote work on a case-by-case basis depending on manager approval.

Right now, many members are coming to the office once or twice a week and working remotely the rest of the time.

We normally use a “discretionary labor system” (裁量労働制) for engineers.

We provide opportunities for everyone to do their best work, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, or any other identifying feature.

We don’t have a formal policy for supporting families, but we provide a flexible environment for parents.

Everyone is respectful of parents having to go home early or take days off due to a child’s sickness or similar reasons.
