AI/ML Research Engineer

About the position

You will be responsible for researching cutting-edge AI technologies, designing novel AI/ML architectures, and integrating into Cotomo and our upcoming new products.

Responsibilities

• Research and stay updated on the latest advancements in AI, particularly in LLM, TTS, and ASR
• Iterate on cutting-edge AI models through experimentation, training, and fine-tuning to build production-ready models optimized for our products
• Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate AI solutions into our products

Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of the entire machine learning pipeline, including designing, training, evaluating, and deploying models
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI/ML (e.g., Python, C++)
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX
• Conversational Japanese ability

• Familiarity with cloud-based AI services and deployment (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Ability to balance research interests with practical implementation needs
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience working in early-stage startups (within a few years of founding)

Compensation

Starting from 9 million JPY annually, with performance-based stock options.
