Position Overview
The ideal candidate possesses native-level English language skills and a passion for writing, organizing content, and continuous learning.
This role will include two types of writing: help documentation writing and UX writing.
Help Documentation Writing:
- Research and establish a clear content structure for products in the early stages of development.
- Create and maintain help documentation for various products while following our voice, tone, and content style guide.
- Write documentation, configuration guides, and integration tutorials.
- Manage the workflow and localization/translation processes as needed.
UX Writing:
- Propose and proofread user-friendly UX copy in English for various products, including mobile and web app interfaces.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with the product team's voice, tone, and content style guide.
- Write for a global audience and consider future language support.
- Manage the UX copy in a localization management platform and update design files with keys and UX copy.
Position Description
Job Duties & Responsibilities
The writer is responsible for creating English UX copy and documentation that align with the product team's voice, tone, and content style guide. This includes establishing any necessary foundations or processes for fulfilling the responsibility. As the products are in the early stages of development and the needs constantly change, duties may expand from writing to managing the workflow and localization/translation processes.
- Establish and maintain help documentation for B2B products
- Write help documentation and UX copy for various products, adhering to the voice, tone, and content style guide
- Manage UX copy in a localization management platform
- Update design files with keys and UX copy
- Proofread writing from other UX writers
- Review designs and provide feedback
- Collaborate in the UI design process with other team members, including designers and engineers
Expected Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Native-level English proficiency in reading and writing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing
- Experience in structuring help documentation content for B2B Software as a Service (SaaS) products
- Ability to write clear, concise UX copy for apps or websites
- Experience in adhering to a style guide and undergoing peer review processes
- Passion for learning and ability to positively incorporate feedback from peers
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Competence in citing, documenting, and communicating writing decisions
- Ability to collaborate with designers and engineers
- Ability to take proactive approaches to identifying problems and proposing improvements
- Flexible attitude and willingness to embrace new challenges
- Understanding of and alignment with the company's mission and values
Additional Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience in writing content for:
- Software as a Service (SaaS) integration documentation
- System administration or IT departments
- Technical manuals or help documentation
- Experience in using tools such as:
- Design tools (e.g., Figma)
- Localization management platforms (e.g., Phrase Strings)
- Software development tools & languages (e.g., GitHub, Visual Studio Code, Markdown)
- Spreadsheet tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel)
- Experience in localizing apps or web services
- Experience in managing localization projects
- Japanese to English and vice versa translation skills
- Proficiency in two or more languages
- Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines and standards, such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Work Hours
- 9 am - 6 pm JST(Flexible working hours)
- Core meeting times from Mon-Fri 9 am - 12 pm JST to accommodate collaboration across the team.

This opportunity is for those who can commute to the Tokyo office, including those who plan to do so.

Mandatory commuting to the Tokyo office:
・Approximately 2 to 3 times per month.

Smoking will be prohibited in all office areas, except for designated smoking rooms in some areas. -
Visa sponsorship and relocation support will be provided for those who do not reside in Japan.

Salary Range
- Salary Range(※1): From JPY 7,000,000 ~
- Estimated annual salary: Base Salary (12 months) + Bonus (Base salary x 1 month x twice a year = 2 months)
- Monthly salary system: Base salary is determined based on your skill set, experience, and abilities, etc.
- An allowance for additional overtime(※2)is included in the base salary. However, work exceeding additional overtime agreed to between the employer and employee will be compensated separately.
- Base monthly salary(※1): From JPY 500,000 ~
The base monthly salary breakdown as follows:
- Base salary: From JPY 380,950 ~
- Allowance for additional overtime(※2): From JPY 119,050 ~
- Base monthly salary(※1): From JPY 500,000 ~
※Notes:
1. Depending on your skill set and experience, the amount set may be outside the above range.
2. Calculated based on 160 hours of scheduled working hours per month and 40 hours of additional overtime.
